Dan Latendre, Founder & CEO of Igloo Software, has played significant roles in the development and marketing of leading internet companies and applications for over 20 years.
In 1993, while at MKS, Dan secured a grant with the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance (CATA) and forged a partnership with Research In Motion (BlackBerry) to launch the first wireless internet access package called Internet Anywhere.
In 1995, he negotiated the sale of the Internet Anywhere to OpenText, where he lead the release of the first commercial search engine for the web (which powered Yahoo! in the early years) and launched the first web-based intranet application called Livelink®.
Dan became the CIO of the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), where he and his team created an online network for knowledge exchange between individuals and organizations on global issues. This became the inspiration for Igloo Software.
Igloo has gone from start-up to globally recognized company, experiencing explosive growth. In 2015, Igloo was named to the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the seventh year in a row, and has also been named to Deloitte’s Fast 50 (2015) and Fast 500 (2015-2017), recognized as one of the fastest growing technology companies in Canada and North America, respectively.
In early 2018, they secured a USD $47M funding round. The investment, by Frontier Capital, will aid in building Igloo’s sales and marketing operations, expanding distribution channels, strengthening its global partnership with Microsoft, and further accelerating the company’s growth.

Igloo has built a global ecosystem of partners that have deep experience in digital workplace solutions. At ICE’ 18, (Igloo’s annual conference) Igloo made several major announcements during keynote addresses, including the launch of Igloo Marketplace, to excited customer and partner feedback.

Igloo Marketplace is a natural evolution of the Igloo Developer Program, enabling their partners, and even customers, to submit integrations, widgets, solutions, and themes for the broader Igloo Customer Community to leverage.
Customers gain a single destination to discover new solutions, modules, and integrations developed by Igloo and their strong partner ecosystem. With an intuitive and beautiful user experience, solutions can be easily discovered and evaluated by any user from within the Igloo platform.
